Drill crew for Go Conscious Earth

The Village Drill has enabled us to not only provide clean water for 22,000 indigenous people, but also provide jobs. We would not have been able to accomplish this incredible feat without the help of the Village Drill, as these villages are located in some of the most remote locations on the planet, deep in the Congo.

The Village Drill has been the perfect addition to our strategy in fighting poverty for those we serve in Ghana. Other drilling technologies were either too expensive, or ineffective in areas we required them to be. Very glad we took the jump of faith in starting a drill team, as to date, thousands have received water through this venture.

The Village Drill is very efficient and very economical to maintain. With almost 200 wells drilled, we have not had any major breakdowns.

And its portability sets it apart. In a rainy season like now, access to rural sites is a major challenge for many drillers. With the Village Drill, this is not always the case. With a small truck, the drill can reach almost everywhere.

The Village Drill is amazing. It is easy to operate, durable, and can drill in rural areas where a big drill cannot reach. I have drilled hundreds of boreholes in Kenya. I have also trained teams in different countries. In Liberia, we drilled 5 boreholes in 21 days. This team has now drilled over 300 boreholes. In Zambia, we drilled 10 boreholes in just 2 weeks. In the DRC, we even transported the drill by canoe to drill in hard-to-reach areas. I have trained Village Drill teams in more than 25 countries. These teams are saving many souls from waterborne disease by giving them clean water.

“We bought 15 Village Drills for the same price we would have paid for just 1 big rig drilling truck.  Now we have the ability to drill 15 boreholes at a time instead of just 1.  How’s that for IMPACT?”

Using the Village Drill, Samaritan’s Purse has facilitated the drilling of 11 productive wells throughout the county in just 5 months, providing clean water to approximately 5,500 people and reducing the likelihood of water borne diseases and prevalence of malnutrition.
